Auditions
Fall 2010 Auditions
Choral Arts of Luzerne County will be holding rehearsals / auditions for
the fall season beginning Tuesday, September 14th, at Church of
Christ Uniting, 190 South Sprague Avenue, Kingston. Rehearsals
will be held each Tuesday evening from 7 PM to 9:30 PM. There are
openings for new sopranos, altos, tenors, and basses. New members are
encouraged to come to open rehearsals on September 14th, 21st, and
28th. They may sing at the entire rehearsal and audition the following
week. The chorus will be performing music by Daniel Pinkham, Charles
Theodore Pachelbel, William Billings, Charles Ives, Randall Thompson,
Irving Berlin, and Leroy Anderson.
1. A
vocal warm-up exercise (to hear your vocal quality and range)
2. A
series of short musical patterns (to test your ear)
3. A
song of your choosing. You may bring sheet music or you may choose to
sing "My Country Tis' of Thee" (we'll provide the music and words)
4. The
music in the packet you received the previous week
